We are IN! Booked the hotel room. Just to verify; we'll only be at the hotel Sat night Oct 17. When I called, they did have non smoking rooms available.

The Sun Country was out of Non Smoking that is why I moved to the LimeTree as they had both available. Yes it is a down on Saturday and back on Sunday. I will be a great time of year to ride.

Thanks,
Carl

The Hupp's have a reservation as well. We are still trying to finalize other commitments that might interfer with this weekend, but we are tentatively planning on making the Mena trip. Sounds Great!

OK...well here we go again!!!! As luck has it, we will need to be in Amarillo this weekend to deliver the remaining items from my partner's house to his wife. This includes their pick up and a trailer. This also happens to be her birthday weekend. The first without her husband. Please ride safe and looking forward to riding again someday!!!!!!

At the meeting yesterday I learned that (at least at the moment) only Joyce and I are still planning on the ride to Mena next weekend. We still plan on going, leaving about 9AM Saturday morning and returning 6PM on Sunday.

If I overlooked someone who is still planning on going, or if anyone's weekend plans change, let me know so we can coordinate a start location for Saturday morning.

Planned route to Mena: http://tinyurl.com/ntc20091017

Some folks from work found out we were going to Mena on Tuesday and asked if they could come along. They were able to get the last two rooms at the Limetree Inn. We had six bikes, including the Sporster you see in the image below! The two Germans, Englishman, and Californian had never heard of a dry county until last night in Mena. What culture shock! (Especially for the Germans: "What? You ride all day and at the end you can't get a beer? How can this be?")

Great weather, if a bit cold. Left at 9 Sat morning, got back a few minutes after 4 PM Sunday.

Glad you guys had company! I remember when I first moved to Texas.....dry all over town. That was a culture shock for someone from New York.... laugh.gif laugh.gif
