Well my final post before we leave tomorrow. After looking at the weather I am repacking as it is not as cold as first thought but still throwing in a light jacket for the mornings. Make sure you bring your rain gear because 50% chance Saturday
 for the area. (But how often are the weather persons correct????See everyone in the morning around 7 at NTY and we will get on the road at 7:30.  Carl

Carl / Angie - Thanks for planning the trip and inviting us to come along. Dennis and I are glad that we went and really enjoyed the adventure. The mountain views were beautiful and we really lucked out with the weather!!! We'll see everyone on Saturday.

It was a good trip and the scenery is always beautiful no matter how many times you see the mountains. Brannon wanted to let you know that I thought of you and Skip as we went through the Pig Trail and as we went through the tunnel on 540 there in Fayetteville and gave three good cracks on the throttle...one for you, one for Skip and of course, one for me!! Love the new pipes! We sure missed you guys and wanted to let you know we thought of you!!
Pictures to come soon. Jone was our official club photographer. She and Joe did a great job of pictures in the turns and on the road! Thanks for doing that you two! Chuck officially became a true Road Hog as he was hit head on by a giant buzzard!Carl and Jim did an outstanding job of getting us there, through all that crazy traffic, riding those thrilling curvey roads, and back safe and sound!! Hats off to you two!! Great job and you represented our club very well!!!! Later, Angie

I would like to thank Carl for his leadership this past weekend. Excellent job!! Bridget had a four day birthday and we all had a great time. I know that I did. Even hitting the buzzard was a first for me. Wish I could make the meeting this Sat. but I'll be thinking of you all.

Glad all had a good time. Just drove home through the rain today and I am so glad we did not hit it yesterday. I don't care how many times I drive it, I just can't believe how beautiful that part of the world is.
Well I will now confess to all.  I stood in line for what Angie tells me was 2.5 hours to test ride a Harley. Was I ever suprised. Jim, my ragging days at you are over. That is the third time that I have ridden the Talimena and the Pig Trail and it just gets better each time! BBB was a great time and I'd do it again if we want to make it an annual thing. My brother had a great time...first time he ever rode with a group this large and said we really had our stuff together keeping everyone safe. Can't wait to do it again after the next Harleys are purchased. You go Carl...there is HD and then all others. Dennis, you ready to take the plunge yet?

Hey everyone just wanted to say thanks for a great ride and a great vacation it was both fun and a learning expierience. The ride through the Pig Trail was spectacular and the views breath taking plus the weather held out for us. Screw that weather man!!
I learned so many new things; buzzard hunting thanks to Chuck, I never knew that there was a special language for Arkansas but Carl jumped right in to speak with our new chainsaw friend (AGughrure??), Bridget gave us all a complete new meaning for frebreeze!! We all became wild hogs with new bandana's of course Joe really lives it and now some buzzard in the mountains can check e-mail on a BB I look forward to keeping in touch with you guys and thanks to all of you for making me feel comfortable and part of your group can't wait to hook up again for the next ride...... as soon a Jim gets me my new bike to ride, Hey maybe all you guys can get a good deal on a few of them Carl, Dennis, Angie, Bridget?? They will pay for themselves in gas alone.... AKA Jeff....... |
